description If you are interested in having a RV delivered and set up on your campsite at Leo Carrillo State Park or Point Mugu State Beach Campgrounds, the following Concessionaire is the approved contract provider: Camping Adventures (805) 797-7460. No business or private party may conduct business on State Park property without an approved contract. Season for Peak Fees: 03/01 to 11/30 The beach was named after Leo Carrillo, a popular radio and TV performer, who also served on the State Park and Recreation Commission. He was related by blood and marriage to a long line of distinguished original Californians. The park has 1.5 miles of beach for swimming, surfing, wind-surfing, fishing and beachcombing. The beach also has tidepools, coastal caves and reefs for exploring. Nature walks and campfire programs are offered (call the park for schedules) and a small visitor center has interpretive displays. Giant sycamores shade the main campgrounds. The Park also features hiking upland. Check the State Parks website for additional information on the weather, suggested day hikes, or to see the park brochure, campground map, park photos, video, and more. importantInformation ATTENTION: The campground is now SITE SPECIFIC. You will not be allowed to switch camp sites upon arrival. The site you pick now will be the site you occupy at the campground. For any further question or concerns, please call staff at 805-488-1827, Ext.107. Discount Pass must be presented at the time of check in. Your DMV Disabled Placard/License Plate does not automatically give you a discount on your campsite. You will need to obtain a CA State park-issued Disabled Discount Pass (DDP) or Distinguished Veterans Pass (DVP). The park recently switched from coin-operated showers to token-operated showers. The token machines accept dollar bills, and you receive 2 tokens for a dollar. Showers are operated by CA State Park tokens. Tokens can be purchased at the campground located at selected restrooms. Token machines accept bills only. Campers 17 and under must have a permission slip signed by their parent allowing the minor to camp. It must have a signature, the campground, and dates in which the minor is camping and a phone number where the parent may be reached. There is a night time closure in effect, the gates are closed at 10:00 p.m. and opens daily at 8:00 a.m. NO late night arrivals are permitted. Fees include entry for 1 vehicle and 1 legally towed vehicle or trailer, additional vehicles will be charged per night at the park. Although your site may hold 2 or more vehicles, your reservation only covers 1 vehicle (except for group or specialty sites). Leo Carrillo is open and can be reserved Year-Round! Occupancy by the same persons, equipment, or vehicles of the AngelesDistrict's camping facilities is limited to a total of 30 days in anycalendar year. These facilities include: Leo Carrillo State ParkCampground, Malibu Creek State Park Campground and Point Mugu State Parkcampgrounds including Sycamore Canyon and Thornhill Broome. March 16th through October 16th Occupancy is limited to 7 consecutive days in each of the abovecampgrounds. Following the 7 Day limit there must be a 48 hour period ofvacancy beginning 12 noon on the check out day to 12 noon of the secondday following before the same person, group, vehicles or equipment mayoccupy that campground. October 17 through March 15th Occupancy is limited to 15 consecutive days in each of the abovecampgroundsFollowing the 15 Day limit there must be a 48 hour period of vacancybeginning 12 noon on the check out day to 12 noon of the second dayfollowing before the same person, group, vehicles or equipment may occupythat campground.
